The bureau des doctorants et étudiants du Muséum (BDEM) is organising this year the 2024 edition of the Congrès des Jeunes Chercheur·e·s du Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle (CJCM).

As its name suggests, this scientific meeting offers young researchers the opportunity to share their research results during oral presentations in a convivial setting. The conference is also an opportunity to inform a wider audience (researchers, students and other MNHN staff) about the diversity of research topics being addressed at the MNHN and Sorbonne Université's ecology laboratories.

More concretely, the meeting will take place this year on April 17, 18, and 19, both in person and online. The young researchers selected will present their results during three thematic sessions organised around the research departments of the MNHN (i.e. Humans and Environment, Origins and Evolution, Adaptations of Life forms), and Sorbonne Université laboratories linked thematically to these departments.

Three types of presentations are planned:
- Long communication (10 minutes)
- Short communication (3 minutes, 1 slide, on the model of "Three Minute Thesis")
- Poster

Can participate :
- All PhD students of ED 227, regardless of their enrolling institution
- All PhD students from other doctoral schools if they carry out part of their PhD in an UMR of the MNHN
- All Master's students registered at MNHN or in a co-habilitated Master's programme
- All students who are doing or have done their internship in an UMR of the MNHN
- All postdoctoral fellows attached to an UMR of the MNHN
- All volunteers attached to an UMR of the MNHN
- Any other person at the beginning of their career attached to an UMR of the MNHN (technician, engineer, etc.)

Masters students, PhD students, postdoctoral fellows or others who wish to make a presentation are invited to respond to the call for participation by filling out this form by Friday, March 15 included.
